*The phrase ‘team building’ is only used because ‘doing-fun-and-engaging-activities-that-help-you-better-understand-and-enjoy-your-colleagues-thereby-helping-increase-workplace-performance’ is too long to be a catchy heading.

Why team building?
There are two easy ways to make sure you DON’T achieve workplace nirvana. 1) is by doing nothing, and letting everyone just ‘become mates’ through mutual distrust of the accounting department & sneaky Friday night drinks sessions. 2) is to subject everyone to a cringy, quarterly ‘we-have-to-have-fun-and-learn-things-because-HR-told-us-to” team building day.
So then are we doomed to forever not really know anything about our colleagues & rock up to a job that we feel ‘meh’ about? Not necessarily …. it just has to be done right. As Richard Branson says;
Maybe the percentage isn’t the same for all of us but the premise certainly fits most. The most successful and memorable team building events are ones that don’t feel like a day at the office. No overt leadership lessons but shared experiences that allows bonding to happen more organically and far more effectively. So,
why use dash?
Because quite simply; our MO is teamwork fun.
